The issues of financial cooperation between China and Uzbekistan were discussed at the workshop. Having assets amounting to USD 2.0 trillion, the China Development Bank is the largest bank in the world in terms of total assets. This is one of the 50 most reliable banks in the world. Non-payment rate is less than 1%. The Bank has representative offices in Moscow, Cairo, Caracas, London, Rio de Janeiro, and Laos. 55 working groups are working throughout the world (including in Tashkent).
In Suzhou, the delegation visited two CDB project sites: the modern multi-storied residential areas built to resettle people from dilapidated houses and the Technopark construction (Silicon Valley), which is to provide leading companies with new software.
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the China Development Bank, and the Uzbek Leasing International A.O. JSC began negotiations with China Development Bank to raise a loan in Chinese yuan to purchase equipment and technology made in China specifically customized for the lessees in Uzbekistan.
