Committee for Budget and Economic Reforms of the Senate [upper house] of Oliy Majlis [parliament] of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 12 January 2011 hosted a meeting to discuss issues of making amendments and addenda to some legal acts regarding leasing operations.
On results of this meeting, working group of Uzbekistan Lessors Association held a session on 20 January 2011. Participants considered issues of further improvements of the leasing legislation of Uzbekistan by amending articles 551, 589, 590, 595, 596, 597 of the Civil Code of Uzbekistan and articles 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 20, 22 of the Law “On leasing”, as well as other normative legal documents.
It should be noted that the working group meeting participants decided to continue work in this direction in order to approve the final edition of article 589 of the Civil Code of Uzbekistan, and articles 5, 7, 20 of the Law “On leasing”.
All proposals of the Uzbekistan Lessors Association’s working group members will be accumulated, analyzed and submitted for further examination to the Committee for Budget and Economic Reforms of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
