Uzbekistan Lessors Association participated in the VIII Tashkent International Leasing Conference, which was held within the framework of the International Finance and Banking Forum at the Hyatt Regency Hotel from March 27 to March 29, 2019.
This large-scale international event was organized by the National Bank of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the CIS Financial and Banking Council and the Information-Rating Agency SAIPRO, with the official support of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Forum partners were: Uzsanoatkurilishbank, Asaka Bank, Alokabank, Ipak Yuli Bank, Solidarity Bank (Russia), insurance companies Uzagrosugurta, Kafolat, Agros Khayot, Ingosstrakh (Russia), International Leasing Company “Leasing International AO”, as well as the Center for Financial Technologies (Russia) and ITS (Kuwait).
The Forum was attended by over 450 experts and financial professionals, including more than 170 foreign experts from 21 countries. These are the representatives of banks, insurance and reinsurance organizations, leasing companies, audit, investment companies, government, ministries and departments, international financial organizations, international rating agencies and others.

On the first day, March 28, 2019, in the framework of the International Leasing Conference, at the panel discussion “World Trends in the Development of Leasing Services: Current Challenges. The possibilities of expanding the resource base of leasing companies at the expense of the International Financial Institutions (IFIs)” the following people spoke: Head of “Diplomat Consult”, Leaseurope consultant (Ms. Adriana Ahciarliu); Head of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Representative Office (Zafar Khashimov); Chief Banker of the Financial Institutions Department of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) (Kuznetsova Ksenia); Senior Private Sector Development Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) (Gafurov Bobir); Vice-President of the United Leasing Association (ULA) of Russia, First Deputy Director of “Region Leasing Group” group of companies (Aleksandr Kojevnikov); Senior expert of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICDPS) (Nizamidinov Muzaffarjon).
On the second day, March 29, 2019, in the continuation of the leasing conference, at the panel discussion “The current state and problems of development of leasing in the CIS countries. Perspectives of cooperation on the basis of cross-border leasing ” the representatives of Uzbekistan Lessors Association (Mustafaev Zafar), the United Leasing Association (ULA) of Russia (Aleksey Kirkorov), the Representative Office of “MAZ” (Belarus) in Uzbekistan (Jigunov Valeriy), and the company Premium Technics (China) (Mr. Meng Yongfang), Khumo Partners (Khikmat Abdurakhmanov), International Finance Corporation (IFC) (Jakhongir Nurmuratov), “CNH Industrial” in Central Asia (Mr. Alberto Amarante), as well as the heads of local leasing companies — «Uzagrolizing ” JSC (Kholmuradov Akmal), “Uzavtosanoat-Leasing” LLC (Ikramov Mirzaakbar) and Kurilishmashlizing JSC (Abdurakhimov Farrukh) delivered presentations.

During the VIII Tashkent International Conference on Leasing, the following topics were discussed: the state and development trends of the leasing sector in the country and in the world, experience in issues related to the emergence and payment of VAT among lessors in foreign countries, particularly in Russia, Romania, Italy, opportunities for cooperation with international financial institutions, especially in the field of attracting investments and credit lines to the leasing industry of Uzbekistan, etc.
The Forum became a platform for obtaining relevant information about what is happening in the leasing industry, provided an opportunity to share best practices, conduct negotiations and mutually beneficial business meetings between participants in the leasing market — leasing companies, international financial organizations, suppliers, leasing associations.
